Known for her fierce independence, she embraced life and did things her way. Marsha was a beautiful balance of cerebral thinking and spiritual being. Those lucky enough to know Marsha were privy to her gentle disposition and authenticity. Her intelligence, dedication, and strong ethics afforded her the opportunity to excel professionally. Though she would consider her greatest accomplishment to be her children, Shelly and Brad, and her grandchildren, Brauner and Marlowe. She embraced her role as mother and grandmother with patience, strength, and above all, unconditional love.
Marsha was constantly seeking enrichment. An avid reader of non-fiction and research, she was always gathering facts. She was drawn to the arts. Marsha played both violin and piano. She also enjoyed botany, frequented local gardens, and made known her love of nature.
Marsha will be deeply missed by her daughter, Shelly Denkinger (Jeremy), son, Bradley Denkinger (Tia), grandson, Brauner, granddaughter, Marlowe, and sister, Deborah Scruggs (Richard). She was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Colgrove and brother, William Hibner.
A memorial service to celebrate Marsha’s life and honor her contributions will be held at 3pm on Saturday, April 12th at Unity North Chapel located at 4255 Sandy Plains Rd, Marietta, GA 30066.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to CURE Childhood Cancer (donate.curechildhoodcancer.org).
Marsha’s departure leaves a void in our hearts, but her legacy will be forever cherished.
