Mary Ellen Hoover

Mary Ellen Hoover, age 84, of Strasburg passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Winchester Medical Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church in Woodstock on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. Ted Keating as Celebrant. A wake will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the church. A Commendation Service will be conducted on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Roswell Funeral Home in Roswell, GA with burial to follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. Hoover was born in Washington, PA on March 7, 1931 the daughter of the late Clifford Christian and Mary Ann McShane Reynolds. She attended Business College for two years but became a homemaker after marrying her husband. She enjoyed interior decorating, arts and crafts and dancing with her husband to big band music; she was very active with the March of Dimes. She was a loving mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Hoover is survived by her sons, Stanley G. Hoover, II of Oak Hill, VA, Randy Hoover of Washington, DC, and Gary Hoover of Atlanta, GA; and her four grandsons.
