Matthew David Shorrock, 40, of Cumming, GA died on June 23, 2011, surrounded by friends and family. He was born on April 18, 1971, in Bicester, Oxfordshire, England to Valerie Ann and David Shorrock. He was the youngest of 3 children. In 1974, they relocated to Arlington, Texas where he later attended Martin High School before moving to Tampa, FL in 1988. He studied Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University in Auburn, AL, graduating in 1995. He married Shawn Nicole Wedgeworth in 2002 in Marietta, GA. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Luke and Ryan; father, David; mother, Valerie; brother, Jason; sister Amanda; sister-law, Tara; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Matthew enjoyed being outdoors with his family, model airplanes, playing golf, hang gliding and he was an accomplished triathlete. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Roswell Funeral Home on Monday, June 27th from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 28th at 11am.
