I remember Mr. Blitch as a really great man who never failed to amaze me with his understanding of physics and his ability to estimate answers to 3 decimal places.  For me, the sight of his red vest was reassuring and somehow relaxing.  May god rest the soul of this wonderful man and teacher.

We will sorely miss our good friend Mike.  Always a smile and a "Hello, Beautiful".  Always a story and a clean joke.  Stories of Boston, of MIT, of beautiful ladies, DeVry Physics Classes, PHD studies, family in Colorado.  Five Seasons was his "Cheers"-- where everybody knew his name, and when he was there, we were always glad we came...I know Mike is looking down on us from heaven and still saying "Hello, Beautiful" .
Well, Good Bye Handsome... we miss you, and you will always be remembered.

I'll never forget his joke of the blonde getting on the bus in a tight skirt!  he was a pleasure to take care of, put a smile on my face every time i saw him, and was sometimes the only guaranteed good thing in my work day!  i went far and above for him because i was happy knowing he was set up even if i wasn't the server to take care of him; i didn't want any not-caring-as-much server to keep a smile from his face just because they couldn't be bothered to get his sweetened-iced-green tea right!  he was always someone whose stories i wanted to listen to, even if for the third time!  GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!

I was deeply saddened to hear of his loss.  Michael was a man of science, a man of faith, and a man of conscience. He made his life a great adventure. Magician, actor, musician, pilot, physics professor, student, sharp dresser, the list goes on. 

We loved his stories and insights on life. And I will miss him so much. Raise your glass please and celebrate a life well lived.

He really made learning Physics fun and exciting.... I will truly miss you Sir.

All of Professor Blitch's former students and/or colleagues knew he was a special man - I was told last week that there would be no others like him!  I agree whole-heartedly!

To Michael's family and friends that weren't living in the Atlanta metro area these past few years - Thanks for letting us get to know him!  Mike was loved these past years simply because he was himself.  

He was a special man, dear friend and one of a kind.  We will miss you, Mike, and will never forget your wit and kindness.

Michael was such a wonderful and caring friend to my sister Diana. I wish that I could have spent more time with him during my last visit to GA. I could tell the moment I met him that he was a very special person. I will always remember him and all of his kind and giving ways.

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

Mike Blitch was not only a good friend and a colleague but a great human being.  He'd do anything for you.  And he laughed a lot. And he always wore that red sweater vest, and 2 watches and a twinkle in his eye.  I was honored to participate in his dissertation questionnaire.  I'm very sorry I won't be able to make it to the service.  We'll miss you, Mikey.
