

Mirta Arevalo, aged 99, passed away on February 13, 2026. She was born on February 27, 1926, to Mr. Gil Arevalo Gutierrez and Mrs. Zoila Flores Gutierrez de Arevalo in Masatepe, Departamento of Masaya.
Mirta was a beloved mother and grandmother. She was known to be a sweet, generous woman of unbreakable strength. She liked to take care of her health, exercise and advise with her sense of humor. Throughout her life, Mirta achieved many accomplishments. As a real estate agent in Managua Nicaragua, she owned apartment complexes, land and houses, these properties were donated to their best tenants before communism took control of the country.
During her years in the United States, she dedicated part of her life to the care of the elderly in the city of Miami, impacting the lives of those who knew her for her giving heart and dedication to those in need. She prepared food for the elderly who were alone and without family as well as helping them monetarily. She enjoyed giving away what she had with money or material things, always showing deep gratitude to God and to those who never forgot her and took care of her until the last day of her life.
She will be missed by her children, Evelyn and Javier Torres; her grandchildren: Marjorie, Nancy, Saraih, Britney, Javier Orlando, Elisa, Elias and Josue; also relatives, care givers and friends in general will miss her.
A visitation will be held on February 24, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Roswell Funeral Home, located at 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076. A Funeral service will be held at 2 PM at Roswell Funeral Home to celebrate Mirta's life and honor her contributions to our world. The committal service will take place at Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076.
Mirta's departure leaves a void in our hearts, but her legacy will forever be cherished.
