Peg E. Hatch, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2024. Born to the late Lawrence and Leila Garrard on December 29, 1935, in Atlanta, GA, Peg was raised on a farm where her parents were dedicated to turning her into a proper lady, and they succeeded. A former model and accomplished painter, Peg was known for her impeccable sense of style and passion for fashion.
Her family will always treasure memories of her southern-style home-cooked meals, her joy while listening to "Up, Up and Away" by The 5th Dimension, and her laughing hysterically when she was caught in a downpour in Minneapolis. Simply put, they will miss everything about her.
Peg left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She made many caring friends throughout her life who stayed by her side in her times of need.
She will be forever loved and missed by her sons, Kurt and his wife, Maria, and Kyle and his wife, Pbhada; grandchildren Kurt and Corinne; great-granddaughter Evelyn Lott; brother, Larry Garrard; and many loving friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Roswell Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at 12 p.m. at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
“The business of life is the acquisition of memories. In the end, that is all there is.”
