Ralph Cletus Merriman

Ralph Cletus Merriman, 82, of Alpharetta, Georgia, passed away on November 18, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Marlyn Merriman; children, Julie, Jennifer, Matthew and Tony Merriman; grandchildren, Jordan and Anthony Merriman, Marly Shuman and Morgan Merriman; brother, Larry Merriman. A memorial service was held at Roswell Funeral Home on November 24, 2013. He is buried at Green Lawn Cemetery.

From the family....

Twice God spared our wonderful father and husband. He had two brain aneurysms about 25 years before his death and also survived lung cancer. He loved life and fought hard to be there for us. He spread much good and kindness and especially love to his family in those years. He said to our wonderful mother on his final day with us, and we will always remember, “home is where the heart is”. We thank God he made it home from the hospital.

Our father was a true friend, a successful businessman, a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather. It was very important to him to be remembered as a very nice man. He was more than that. He was the kindest and gentlest person we have known. He was such a good man and true Christian, supporting many charities. He loved us so much. He loved his country.

In his memory, we should all continue his generosity, spread more kindness and be gentle. He would have liked that.
