Rhonda Kaye Maloof Wolf, age 76, of Atlanta and Marietta, Georgia, peacefully departed this life to be with the Lord on April 14, 2026. Born in Atlanta to Edward and Jeanette Maloof, she spent her early years on Cascade Avenue, where her vibrant spirit and love for life first began to shine.
Rhonda was raised in a large and loving Lebanese family, rooted in the Maloof and Azar traditions. She grew up alongside her three sisters, surrounded by a close-knit circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who filled her life with laughter, warmth, and enduring connection. She attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Grade School and St. Joseph’s Catholic High School, later graduating from Southwest High School in 1967.
From a young age, Rhonda’s joyful and outgoing nature was unmistakable. She was known for bringing people together and creating lasting memories with family and friends. At fourteen, she hosted her first pool party, and by sixteen, she had joined the cheerleading squad which were early reflections of the energy and enthusiasm that would define her life.
It was during her time at St. Joseph’s that Rhonda met the love of her life, Danny Wolf, in a moment that would become a cherished family story. While Danny and his band, The Bushmen, were taking a break during a performance in the school gym, Rhonda climbed onto the stage and began playfully drumming. When Danny asked who she was, his bandmate Joseph Maloof replied, “Oh, that’s my cousin, Rhonda.” That spirited introduction marked the beginning of a lifelong love. After four years of dating, Rhonda and Danny were married on June 22, 1969, at Saint John’s Melkite Church.
Their marriage was filled with laughter, adventure, and unforgettable moments from the infamous deck fire while grilling to the clever escapades of their German Shepherd, Dino, who would leap the fence, roam the neighborhood, and return home unnoticed before they arrived from work. Together, they built a life rich in love, humor, and treasured memories. Five years into their marriage, they welcomed their beloved son, Brian.
Before dedicating herself fully to her family, Rhonda built an impressive career marked by determination and excellence. She began working at the Trust Company of Georgia, where she operated keypunch systems, contributing to early computerized data processing. She later worked with Cox Media Group at WSB Channel 2, KFC, and Barton and Ludwig Real Estate Company, where she became an assistant supervisor. At age 28, with encouragement from her sister Marselle, she secured a senior position with Western Electric, achieving a level of professional success that was remarkable for women of her time.
Rhonda embraced life with passion and curiosity. She loved tennis, bowling, dancing, singing, traveling, and music. She became a certified scuba diver, accomplishing the rigorous feat of a 100-foot free ascent. She also pursued her love of music, taking voice lessons and writing and recording her own song, “I Will Never Say Goodbye to You,” which was played on the radio. Among her many cherished memories was attending The Beatles’ concert at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium on August 18, 1965.
Above all, Rhonda’s life was defined by her deep and abiding faith. Her journey of coming to know Christ as her Lord and Savior began through a Life in the Spirit seminar and continued to grow through Bible classes taught by a coworker where she received the Holy Spirit. While attending Mt. Paran Church of God, she deepened her understanding of God’s grace and righteousness, forming a profound personal relationship with the Lord. She went on to lead Bible study groups, serve as a deacon alongside her husband while living in North Carolina, volunteer in the church nursery, and dedicate herself to prayer and service. Her heart for others and her love for God inspired her to write extensively, creating a series of spiritual guidance writings centered on Christian righteousness and faith.
In her later years, Rhonda found her greatest joy in her roles as a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and aunt. She embraced life fully, pouring her love into her family, cherishing friendships, and continuing to uplift others through prayer and her writings.
Rhonda will be remembered as a woman of faith, strength, warmth, and boundless love, a devoted wife, a deeply cherished mother, and a treasured friend to many. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched, the faith she shared, and the love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Jeanette Maloof; her sister, Sandra; and her husband, Danny. She is survived by her devoted son, Brian, and his wife, Tanita; her beloved sisters, Yvette and Marselle, and Marselle’s husband, Mike; as well as a multitude of family members and dear friends who loved her deeply and will carry her memory in their hearts always.
