

Richard Francis McLean of Roswell, GA left this life peacefully on April 29 at age 63. Dick was born on January 10, 1954 in Laurel, Mississippi. He is preceded in death by his parents Colonel and Mrs. Neil A. McLean, Jr. (Margaret Fowler), Brother Colonel Neil A. McLean III and nephew Michael R. McLean.
He is survived by his brother, Retired LTC William J. McLean (Cheri) of Stillwater, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Lucy A. McLean of San Antonio, TX; nieces Margaret McLean Duncan (Ken), Maura McLean Stevens (Duke), and Jessica McLean Porter (Jason); nephews Neil A. McLean IV, Jason McLean, and Sean McLean (Chelsea); 7 great-nieces and 6 great-nephews and many cousins.
He graduated from Baker H.S. (’72) in Columbus, GA after living throughout the US and abroad. He attended UGA and Georgia Tech and went to work in the computer industry from the beginning of the evolution at MicroMart, Bulldog, and Champion . Many remember him as the life of the party; he had a very special way of connecting with folks. His love of life was never more evident then following a devastating car accident that left him paralyzed as a young man as he never complained about his situation. He lived each day for the next day!

The family will receive friends from 9-10am with a memorial service to follow at 10am on Saturday, May 6, at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076.
