Robert F. Crowell, formerly of Pittsburgh and Meadville, Pa. passed away peacefully on Thursday April 26th at the Northeast Atlanta Rehabilitation Center in Atlanta, GA. at the age of 90. Bob and his wife Marjorie relocated to Atlanta from Meadville in October, 2007 to be closer to their son Robert D and his wife Elaine. Bob worked at the Iron City Sash and Door Company in Pittsburgh and Sandy Lake, PA Both Bob and Marjorie graduated from Mt Lebanon High School in 1941 and 1940 respectively where Bob was a member of the football team. He was one of the 100 surviving World War II veterans in the state of Georgia, serving in the US Marines in the South Pacific from 1943-1945. He is survived by his sons Robert D and Jeffery P. grandchildren Sean, Max, Megan, Katie, and Brian, and great granddaughters Katherine Paige and Natalie Elaine.
