Born on August 6th, 1945, in Shawnee, OK, Rozanne had a great sense of pride of growing up on the farm with her 4 older brothers. After graduating from Bethel High School in 1963, Rozanne went on to breeze through college at the University of Oklahoma obtaining her Bachelor of Education degree in just 3 years. She then went on to meet the love of her life, Charlie, who was in the Army stationed in Germany. They got engaged long distance and were married in Heidelberg, Germany just a few months after meeting. They raised their family living in Wichita, KS, Amarillo, TX and ultimately landing in Richardson, TX. Her devotion to her family was unmatched.
This devotion extended far beyond her family. She was a friend to many, always ready for an impromptu visit or a meal out with friends. She also enjoyed keeping up with all of her friends on Facebook and would often be the first to comment on exciting posts. She loved attending North Point Community Church where she would be found on Sunday mornings raising her hand high to the worship songs, praising Jesus.
In addition to being a teacher and a homemaker, she dabbled as an entrepreneur starting up a children’s educational toy store, had a career with Feedback Plus, and then went on to use her great attention to detail as a bookkeeper.
She leaves behind her beloved son Chad, her daughter Kay Lynn, her grandchildren Campbell, Elliott, Keaton, Penny, Bowen, Madison, Deshawn; her brothers Duane and Darrell, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and adored in-laws. She rejoins in peace her late husband Charles, parents James Austin Lanier and Ruby Bowen Lanier, and brothers Jim, and Perry.
