Mr. Samuel Lewis McClintock, age 86, of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Sam was born on March 14, 1937 in Monongahela, Pennsylvania, a son to the late Charlotte and Samuel McClintock.
Samuel graduated from Elizabeth Forward High School in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania. Following high school he attended the University of Pittsburgh where he received both a bachelors and master’s degree in Civil Engineering. The majority of his working career was spent in the steel industry working for companies such as Bethlehem Steel, American Bridge and General Steel Sales and Consultants. Sam retired in 2010 and lived in the Atlanta area for remainder of his life. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, hunting and shooting. Sam was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend; he will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Along with his parents Sam is preceded in death by one daughter, Leisha L. Fleming, his loving wife of twenty-six years Anne McClintock; a grandson, Jacob McClintock; and two siblings, Lawrence McClintock and Ruth Allen.
He is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey L. McClintock and his wife Lisa of Clark Fork, Idaho, and Eric McClintock and his wife Marinalva of Marietta, Georgia; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Fleming and Joshua McClintock; stepchildren, Bart and Susan Allin; nephews, Ross and Larry McClintock; the mother of his children, Barbara McClintock Condrey; and many extended family members and friends also survive.
A funeral service honoring the life of Mr. Samuel McClintock will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 in the chapel of Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road Roswell, Georgia 30076. The family will receive friends from ten o’clock in the morning until the service hour. Interment will be held in the Green Lawn Cemetery of Roswell.
In lieu of customary remembrances the family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
