

Mrs. Sharon Chappell Kleckley, age 78, passed away on Oct 22, 2021 at Seasons Hospice in Suwanee, Georgia. Mrs. Sharon Chappell Kleckley was born June 23, 1943 in Americus, Georgia. She attended Auburn University where she received a B.S. in Mathematics and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Later, Sharon attended the University of Louisville where she received a M.S. in Education. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Fred Kleckley, in 1963.
Sharon pursued her love of working with students, first as a teacher at Albany High School for two years, and then as a math teacher and administrator at Brookwood High School where she retired after 29 years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, traveling with friends, and socializing with the Forsyth County Ladies League.
Mrs. Sharon Chappell Kleckley was preceded in death by her husband Fred Newton Kleckley, parents William Armstid Chappell and Ruth Overstreet Chappell and two brothers, Carl Chappell and Bob Chappell. Survivors include her sons Frederick Jeff Kleckley and his wife Angie Kleckley of Suwanee, GA and William Brad Kleckley and his wife Laura Kallao Kleckley of Birmingham, AL. Other survivors include one brother, Jack Chappell and his wife Delores Chappell of Americus, GA, five grandchildren: Abbie Kleckley, Morgan Kleckley, Alex Kleckley, Miller Kleckley, and Emma Kleckley as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service honoring Mrs. Sharon Kleckley will be held at three o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday, October 31, 2021 in the Santuary of Johns Creek Baptist Church, 6910 McGinnis Ferry Road Alpharetta, Georgia 30005. Interment will take place at one o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, November 1, 2021 in the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, 1951 GA Highway 49 South Americus, Georgia 31719.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock in the evening until seven on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Roswell Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen have been requested by the family to serve as pallbearers, Jay Chappell, Scott Chappell, Wayne Jordan, Mike McGee, Dennis McGee, and John Clark.
