December 22, 2023
Sheila Rhodes, at age 76, transitioned to Heaven to be forever with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 17, 2023. She was born on November 16, 1947, to Tallie and Sarah Dupree in Richmond, VA. Sheila was the beloved wife of Dan Rhodes for more than 51 wonderful years. Sheila will forever be known for her sweet, gentle, and loving personality with an endearing heart for helping people who need encouragement. Sheila was a retired public-school teacher for 27 years and was voted Teacher of the Year before she retired. As a pastor’s wife, Sheila began and led a large women’s ministry in her local church for more than 15 years. She has traveled to other states and countries speaking at women’s conferences and ministering in churches with her husband. Everyone who ever met her loved her and has received from the deposit of her anointed ministry the Lord gave her. Sheila is deeply loved, and she will be always missed by her husband, her daughters Jenny Querubin and Anna Crowder, her sons-in-laws, Eubert Querubin and Todd Crowder, her precious grandchildren Sydney, Emily, Daniel, and Hunter, and by everyone who ever knew her. Nothing will ever replace her loving presence on earth, and we grieve deeply. But with joy in our hearts, we know she is forever securely wrapped in the eternal arms of the Father.
“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.’” Proverbs 31:10-11, 28-29 (NIV)
Homegoing services to celebrate Sheila’s life will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Roswell Funeral Home/Green Lawn Cemetery, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076. The family and friends visitation will be from 10:00am to 11:00am, and the main chapel service will be from 11:00am to 12:00pm with interment at 12:30pm.
