On February 27, 2013, Trevor Dixon Cyril Combee left this earth to be with his Heavenly Father. Trevor was born to Jerry and Daneille Combee on September18, 1977, in La Grange, Georgia. His early experience with Suzuki piano led to a life long interest in music performance and composition. His music store, Hypervinyl, in the Oakland area of Pittsburgh was widely known for its eclectic mix of vinyl recordings. Trevor’s personal vinyl recordings on the record label he created, also known as Hypervinyl, are greatly respected in contemporary music circles in Europe. He also performed at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh as well as at many other venues.
After moving to Atlanta and finishing his education, Trevor became a valued member of the staff at Adtech Global Solutions, a leading company in advanced information technology where he worked for five years and has many good friends.
Trevor loved his Church, family, friends, and his loyal dog Svetlana. He had great interest in military history because of his grandfather’s achievements in WW II and Korea. Trevor had a heart for those less fortunate than he. He quietly worked behind the scenes to provide compassionate care for those who had been forgotten.
We will all remember his quiet ways, his steadfast work ethic, his love for Christian Orthodoxy, and his gentle smile. He is greatly missed, sweetly mourned, and cherished as son, grandson, brother, brother-in-law, nephew, and cousin.
Trevor is survived by his parents Jerry and Daneille Combee, his grandmother Hazel Dixon Combee; his sister and brother-in-law Cara and Matt Hunter; aunts Marsha Slater, Kathy Becker, Jerry Pumphrey; uncles Greg Folmar, Jim Slater, and Rex Pumphrey; cousins Nicole and Jessica Becker; Willa and Wyeth Folmar, and Steve and Mark Pumphrey; and second cousins Maurice Blackmon, Ray Whitley, and others.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home, then there will be a funeral service on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Saint John the Wonderworker Orthodox Church, 543 Cherokee Ave. SW, Atlanta, GA.
