Born on July 5th,1935, in Altavilla Milicia, Sicily, Vincenza was the daughter of the late Maria and Giuseppe Calzante, and one of ten children. She married Salvatore Guagliardo in 1955, and they were happily married for over 50 years. Together, they journeyed to make a better life for their family when they immigrated to the U.S. in the 1960s. Vincenza was a master of homemaking. Her most impressive skills were cooking, making Italian cookies, crocheting and embroidery. Vincenza’s greatest accomplishment in life was serving and loving her family with all her heart.
Vincenza is preceded in death by her loving husband Salvatore Guagliardo. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pietra and Antonino Allegra, her son and daughter-in-law, Nicolo and Rachele Guagliardo, and her eight grandchildren (Salvatore Allegra, Maria Earnhart, Vincenza McEntyre, Antonina Hill, Salvatore Guagliardo, Vincenzo Guagliardo, Nicolas Guagliardo, and Christian Guagliardo) and great grandchildren, James McEntyre, Andrew McEntyre, Philip McEntyre, Nicholas Earnhart, Anna Earnhart, Allegra Earnart, Levi Hill and Sicily Hill. Her legacy will live on in us forever.
