Linda......What wonderful memories of the days John and I shared with you and Bill at Lighthouse Cove.  Always looked forward to seeing your car parked in the driveway across the street.  It meant days of fun and laughter would follow.  I will never forget our dinner in "historic" downtown Melbourne when he ordered something I had never heard of ~ a dirty martini!  We have lost two great guys, my friend.

Bill was my friend and confidant for a few too short years.  He was extremely smart (3rd) graduating class of th US Air Force Academy, and generous .   We spoke of many things and never did I hear unkind or untrue words.   As a Colonel he was an exemplary leader and keenly aware of every soldiers duty, which we should all emulate in our personal lives.  Linda and Bill are great friends of my wife and me.  We shared meals, laughter and joy.   What a testimony to his earthly, now heavenly life.  We miss you Colonel Bill Haber, USAF, and friend!

Pray with me please, Gracious God, before whom generations rise and pass away, we praise you for all Your servants who, having lived this life in faith, now live eternally with You. Especially we give thanks for Your loving and faithful servant, Colonel Bill Haber,  whose baptism is now complete in death. We praise You for the gift of his life, for all in Colonel Haber that was good and kind and faithful, for the grace You gave him, that kindled in him the love of Your dear name, and enabled him to serve You and this country faithfully. Dear Lord, we thank You that for Colonel Haber death is past and his pain ended, and that he has now entered the joy You have prepared. Please keep Your hands on the shoulders of his entire family as each mourns his passing.  May their faith be their consolation, and eternal life their hope. We ask this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.  AMEN

Bill, we knew you as a special part of our family and a friend.  Bob and I always enjoyed our visits. It was a privilege being co-in-laws.  (I remember the day you asked me to look up what our family relationship was.  I was happy to report it was called co-in-laws.)  You were so devoted to your family.  You gave your time, and established traditions with your sons and grandchildren that will always be treasured and appreciated.  Your spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved you.  Your legacy will be honored and remembered always. We will miss you.

Bill was a very wise man and a terrific mentor to my husband. He was an inspiration to many.  We will miss him terribly.
