Bill grew up in Roswell, Georgia and attended Milton High School in Alpharetta through tenth grade then attended Georgia Academy for the Blind after being in a car accident at the age of 16. He worked at a concession stand at the Federal Post office in Atlanta then worked at the Georgia Factory for the Blind until he retired in 1999.
William J. McCallum is preceded in death by his father, Robert O. McCallum and mother, June E. McCallum.
He is survived by sister, Lorene Lee (Merle); brother, Gary Sagers (Jan); sister, Brenda Wickham (Tom); brother, Bob McCallum (Ann); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and large extended family.
