

He was the beloved husband of Patricia T. Morris for 39 years, devoted father of Kelly M. Metzinger, admired father-in-law of Joshua Metzinger, loving grandfather of William Beck Metzinger and dear brother of Robert Lee Morris, Jr. He is also survived by his treasured nieces, nephews and friends.
Greg was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a loyal friend. He spent his younger years in Coral Gables, FL where he was a member of the 1967 Coral Gables High School football team which was named the “Florida High School Team of the Century”. He was also a member of the Counts fraternity. He loved sailing at an early age and later shared his passion with his wife and daughter. Greg was a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and enjoyed a successful career as a Sales Executive with Prince Matchabelli, Jacqueline Cochran and Revlon.
Greg enjoyed sports throughout his life. His favorite memories were at the Kentucky Derby, The Masters, multiple football games and especially his daughter’s diving meets. Later in his life, Greg enjoyed playing golf with his friends at Indian Hills Country Club and Cuscowilla Golf Club. He retired to Lake Oconee with his wife where they spent his final years boating on the lake, playing golf and enjoying time with friends and family.
Greg’s family takes comfort in knowing his legacy lives on through the love he shared, the lessons he taught and the memories they will cherish forever.
Greg’s celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd at 1pm at Roswell Funeral Home in Roswell, GA.
