

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Marian Rice Rossi, his son Gary Rossi, his daughter Cheryl Rossi Davis, his sister Dolores Rhoby, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Al was born in San Francisco, CA and was raised in Sacramento, CA. As a young man, he began work at McKesson Drug as a stock and delivery boy. It is there that he met his wife Marian. He joined the Navy during World War II and was part of the Guadalcanal operation aboard the USS President Hayes. He served as a medic and took part in the landing of US Marines for the first offensive act of WWII.
He and Marian were married in 1946 and Al returned to McKesson where he had a successful career in sales and management. He retired in 1986 as Western Region Senior Vice President and continued to consult in sales for many years after.
Al enjoyed fishing, the odd game of golf, family and travel. He and Marian had many lovely trips to locations around the world. He always had a story to tell and continued to have a keen business mind until his most recent illness.
He will be greatly missed by his family and large extended family and friends.
Viewing and rosary will be held on Friday April11 at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd, from 4:00pm-6:30pm with a Rosary service at 6:30pm. A funeral mass will held at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 12 at St Mary's Church, 1351 58th St, Sacramento. Internment at St. Mary's Cemetery directly following. Please join the family for a reception immediately after ceremony at Eskaton Village Carmichael.
