Ann passed away peacefully at home February 9, 2022, at the age of 97. Born in Galveston, Texas to Charles and Helena Brown, the family later moved to Berkeley, California where Ann graduated from Presentation High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 64 years, Alfonso “Al” Dominguez, her son Ronald Dominguez, and siblings Wilfred Brown, Mary Brown, Dora Brown, Richard Brown, Vera Duhe, and Bobby Brown. She is survived by sons David Dominguez, Michael Dominguez, Paul Dominguez (Sandy), grandchildren Crystal Dominguez, Drew Dominguez, and Anneliese Dominguez, and many other beloved family members and friends.
During Al’s long tenure with United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Ann and family spent 13 years living abroad in various countries including Pakistan, Korea, India, Afghanistan, and Vietnam, later settling in Los Angeles, CA, and retiring in Sacramento, CA. Ann enjoyed nothing more than regaling her family members with tales of her youth and recounting the family’s travels around the world. She will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, fiery spirit, and her deep love for her family.
