Barbara forged life long friendships beginning in elementary school at Immaculate Conception, then in high school at St Joseph’s Academy, and at California State University Chico where she received her Bachelor degree in Education. After marrying and starting a family, she became a member of the local garden club, offered piano lessons at home, and over many years served as organist for St. Charles Borromeo, St. Roses, and Our Lady of Assumption Catholic churches. She and husband, Joe, were active in the Mr. and Mrs. Club. In retirement, they traveled the US and Canada with close friends and as members of the Gold Panners RV Club. After they moved to Pinebrook Village in Folsom, Barbara enjoyed performing in and assistant directing the community’s annual theatrical programs. She also had a great love of opera, often providing piano accompaniment to Sacramento area singers. Her hobbies included piano, cross stitch, sewing, and card games. Family and family heritage were also important to her. She had a wonderful sense of fun and humor always enjoying a good joke. As a mother, spouse and friend, Barbara was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
