Christine Rogers

On July 9th, 2023, Christine Bennett Rogers passed away peacefully at the age of 88. Christine was well-loved and respected in her church as well as the community.

Christine was a longstanding member of Paradise Missionary Baptist Church here in Sacramento, CA. She lived a servant’s life and modeled a servant’s heart. She laughed and cried and supported and encouraged and prayed for all of us. She truly loved the way Christ loves.

Christine married Charles Rogers on October 1, 1953, in Sandusky, Ohio. Their union lasted until Charles’s passing on August 20, 1997.

Christine’s greatest love was her family. Christine was the mother of six children. And all her children were proud to call her mom.

Despite her large family. She always provided support and love to each of child. She and her husband Charles worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for their kids. She would proudly boast about all six of her children.

Christine leaves behind her sister Rosa Lee Bennett. She also leaves behind six children:

Cheryl Hayes, Kevin Rogers, Barry Rogers, Teri Story

Evonne Rogers, Kimberly Rogers

And a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
