Daniel Joseph Schiro passed away on February 2, 2014 at the age of 90. Daniel was known for his love to take midnight drives around town, enjoyed going to the casinos in Lake Tahoe, and dining out with his family and friends. He told comical family stories, and also worked for and retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad as a welder. Daniel was a big fan of both the San Fransisco Giants and 49er's. He loved listening to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. He had many long time friends and acquantances who will truly miss him. Dan is survived by his son George (Sheila) Schiro and daughter Vickie (Rick) Smith. His sister Matilda, and also his grandchildren: Craig, Jeremy, and Gilbert. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 15 at 2:00pm at Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave in Sacramento.
