Dorothy Grijalva (Cabral) aged 90, native of Sacramento, was a go getter and had a zest for life. She loved her SF Giants and watching her grandchildren play baseball and softball games. Thoroughly enjoyed baking, making candy and trips to Reno and Tahoe. Loved being around her family: which includes aunts, uncles, cousins, brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and close friends and neighbors. She was most proud of her children and their accomplishments. She is survived by her children: Robin Maita (Bruce), Marla Deragisch (Dave) and grandchildren Marie, Brian (Chessa), Adam (Dina), Eric (Missy) and great grandchildren Colton, Wesley and Palmer. She was reunited with her husband of 59 years, Robert Grijalva and her son, Robert Andrew Grijalva on December 3, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Angelina: sisters, Lucille, Wilma and Rose Cabral. She graduated from Sacramento High School and began her working career at California Apparel, Franchise Tax Board, and retired from Sears Roebuck, Company after 30 plus years. Upon retirement she worked for the Sacramento Kings which she enjoyed immensely. She was an active and dedicated member of the Sears Retirees, the Cabrillo Club, and Elk Lodge where she served as a Chaplain. A special thank you to Kaiser Hospice staff and to Meadow Oaks of Roseville for all the support and loving care extended to Dorothy by caregivers and staff. A private memorial service will be held at Nicoletti, Culjis and Herberger Funeral Home. Due to Covid concerns and the safety of all, only immediate family, relatives and invited guests shall attend.
