Eiko Cale

Our family is sad to announce the passing of our beloved Eiko Cale, age 79, on Thursday, March 30, 2023 in Sacramento, California. She passed peacefully in the night at Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center after losing her third fight with cancer.

She was born on February 11, 1944 in Okinawa. In 1969, she married a US Army soldier, by the name of Sterling V Cale. Together they raised 2 sons, Sterling R. Cale II, and Saundy V. Cale.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Sterling V. Cale, and both sons along with their families. Sterling R. Cale II (Karen), Saundy V. Cale (JaNeen), two grandsons, Sterling J. and Cameron and one granddaughter, McKenzie.

She is also survived by her father-in-law, Sterling R. Cale and sister-in-law, Estralita Hoover as well as her niece, Michelle (Brad), nephew Charles (Gina) and great-niece Mikayla. She loved and cherished all of these dearly as her family.

If you knew Eiko at all, you knew she was a fiesty, hard working woman. From her humble beginnings as an orphan in the aftermath of World War 2 thru all the years working to parent and provide for her two boys while her military husband traveled abroad protecting the country, she never stopped working hard for everyone she loved.
