“Kikoy” or “Frank” by his friends—was born on April 2, 1933, to Mariano and Valentina Landicho in
Sinisian, Calaca, Batangas, Philippines. He was the eldest of nine siblings.
He graduated from FEU in 1954. That same year, he married Visitacion Atienza, who passed away in
2022; they were happily married for 68 years.
In 1958, after the birth of their second child, Francisco moved to Manila with his wife, their growing
family, and three of his younger siblings from his mother’s side. While caring for both his
immediate family and his siblings, he continued his education and eventually earned his MBA from
UE in 1986. He was a hardworking and responsible man.
Wherever he worked, Francisco stood out as someone dependable—someone who would do
whatever it took to get the job done. He had a heart for helping others. Many families from his
hometown entrusted their children to him, sending them to live with his family in Manila so they
could finish their studies. Even with all of this, he always put his own family first, making sure his
wife and eight children were well cared for. Thanks to his professional life, he was able to travel all
over the world.
In 1987, he and his wife migrated to California. He later worked for the Salvation Army and officially
retired in 1999. After retirement, he found an interest in gardening and baseball (he was a big San
Francisco Giants fan).
Francisco will be remembered as a father and grandfather who worked tirelessly to provide for his
family. Though he was a quiet man, his actions spoke louder than words, especially in the way he
cared for and helped those around him. He is survived by his six siblings, eight children, 21
grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
