

He is survived by his wife of 60+ years, Maryanne; son Steven and daughter-in-law Dr. Marcia Yee of San Diego; son Kendall of Sacramento; daughter Stacy of Elk Grove; grandson Kevin and wife RoseAnn of San Diego and grandson David of San Diego.
He is survived by sister Mary Mu of Northridge; sister Rose Lierheimer and husband, Gene of Granite Bay; brother Fred and wife Patricia of Olympia, Washington; sister Lily Lai and husband Calvin of Sacramento; sister Mabel Louie and husband William of Sacramento; brother-in-law Ed Chan of Lafayette, California and sister-in-law Barbara Yee of Florida. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by brother-in-law Stanley Mu of Los Angeles; sister Annie Hue and husband Leland of Sacramento; sister May Chan of Lafayette, California; brother Sam of Florida and sister Mary Sue and brother-in-law Bill Little of Oakland.
Upon his arrival in Sacramento, Frank worked in the family restaurant business at The Bee Café, and Chopsticks Restaurant, a long time eatery on Franklin Boulevard. His professional career began with short stints of employment with SMUD and the Bureau of Reclamation. He completed his professional career with 31 years of service as a transportation engineer with the California Department of Transportation.
His favorite pastimes included exercising daily with Maryanne or brother-in-law Russell Chinn. He was an avid swimmer and took pride in earning a T-shirt saluting a major personal accomplishment of swimming a distance of 100 miles. On many weekends, he could be found with a fishing rod in his hand as he also enjoyed fishing for black bass. In his retirement years, Frank also enjoyed traveling and going on various cruises with friends and family. Frank displayed his green thumb prowess by puttering around daily in his large garden with Maryanne, where they grew many varieties of both traditional and Asian delicacies. He always shared the bounty of his harvest with neighbors, friends, and family. This always demonstrated his sharing and caring nature. At the pinnacle of his enjoyment time was his love of spending time with his entire family.
He will be deeply missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing him. We pray that the Lord has his arms open wide to receive Frank in his loving and eternal care.
