Survived by husband of 55 years, William, and daughter, Bridget. Born July 13, 1929, at Mercy Hospital in Sacramento to Phillip and Maria (Iturriria), Spanish Basques. She attended St. Francis Elementary School, St. Francis High School, Sacramento Junior College - (1947-1949), and Sacramento State College - (1952), majoring in Elementary Education. She taught at BretHarte and Lincoln elementary schools from 1952-1964, and at St. Mary's Parochial School from 1980-1993. She was known for her creative art work, math regimen, and her emphasis on the 'need to project'.
Visitation hours will be held at St. Mary's Church, on 58th and M Streets, from 4 - 7 PM on Friday, October 12, 2012, followed by a Rosary at 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at St. Mary's Church, at 12 PM. Interment directly following at St. Mary's Cemetery. Donations may be made in her name to the following organizations: St. Mary's Parochial School, St. Francis High School, or the American Heart Association .
