Mary Louise Du Maurier

Mary Louise Du Maurier, 78, passed away in Sacramento, California, on August 11, 2025, due to complications related to dementia.

She was born on December 17, 1946, in San Francisco, California, to the late Louise (Rigal) Derochie and the late Forrest Derochie.

Mary’s life was a tapestry of adventure and fearless exploration, driven by her adventurous spirit. Her hunger for new challenges led to a wide range of entrepreneurial endeavors. She couldn’t be tied down to any one spot for long, calling many states home. Everything she did, she did for her two sons.

serving ice cream, or cinnamon rolls,

and all the cross country moves we would make.

we knew you always loved us,

and we will always keep you in our heart.

She is survived by her two sons, Mike (Karen) Dobbins and Shawn (Maleah) Dobbins; and one grandchild, Peter Dobbins.

She also leaves behind her best friend, Charleen White; sisters, Bernadette (Robert) Mark and Annette (Dennis) Cahoon; and her brother, Clayton (Kay) Derochie.
