Mary Margaret Kellogg

Mary Margaret Kellogg died peacefully on October 20, 2024, in Roseville, CA at the age of 81. She is survived by her partner and husband of 58 years, Richard Kellogg, her daughters Janeen Greve (David) and Jennifer Kellogg-Peterson (Chris) and her grandchildren: Tyler Greve, and Nathan and Lauren Peterson. Preceded in death by her parents Georgette and Rexford Lehocky and her brother, Robert Lehocky. Mary was born on April 10, 1943, in Ironwood, Michigan and graduated in 1961 from C.K. McClatchy High School in Sacramento, CA. She received her cosmetology license in 1962 and was a beautician at the Lanai beauty salon, having a prominent clientele for several years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. In later years, she worked alongside her husband at Kellogg Aerial Surveys serving as COO, CFO and CEO. Her laughter was infectious, and her talents ranged from home decorating to cooking and gardening. She was always impeccably dressed and was a voracious reader with exceptional recall for her fictitious 1-800-ASK-Mary hotline for answers on any given topic. Mary was kind and thoughtful, with any stranger becoming a friend at a moment’s notice. She derived joy from her home, animals and family. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren dearly and loved to spoil them especially at Christmas.

We will come together at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home at 5401 Folsom Blvd on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 11:30 AM with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her memory to the Placer SPCA or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
