

Age 90, of Citrus Heights, CA, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2011. Maxine was born on February 28, 1920 to Earl and Anna Galland. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard, her siblings, Jewell, Arvid, Alice and Zene, and stepson, Edward of Talent, OR. Survived by stepsons, Richard (Candice) of Santa Rosa, CA; James of Keno, OR; and stepdaughter, Annabelle of Sacramento, CA. Also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other beloved relatives who will miss her dearly.
Maxine grew up in Denison, IA, graduating from Denison High School in 1938. After visiting family in California in 1943, she decided to make Sacramento her home. She was employed by Cal-Western Life for over 39 years before retiring in 1982.
In 1956, she married Richard Lamm. They celebrated 53 years of marriage before his passing in May 2010. Throughout their marriage, they enjoyed traveling with Hawaii being a favorite destination. Together, they also were on numerous bowling leagues and often played pinochle with good friends.
Maxine was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. She will be fondly remembered by family and friends for her wonderful sense of humor and her care and concern for others. Friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Service on Thursday, February 10, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at Harry A. Nauman & Son Land Park Chapel, 4041 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento, CA. A reception will follow at Aviator's Restaurant, 6151 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento, CA.
