Mildred Giordano, 96 of Sacramento passed peacefully on March 9, 2024. She was born in New York City on November 19, 1927. She was the fifth child of Arthur and Margaret Humphrey. She loved her children, treasured her friends and appreciated all those who helped her later in life. She attended New York City College and then traveled the world as a military spouse. Mildred managed a large household, enjoyed entertaining and cooking, as well as a good book. She obtained a realtor’s license, worked as a librarian and enjoyed a successful career as a color analyst and consultant. She was a member of St. Joseph’s in Clarksburg.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Giordano and is survived by her children Cristine, Susan, Kathleen, Michael and Anita as well as her grandchildren Nicholas, Jessica, Weston, Max, Garrett, Douglas, Anna and Katherine.
To honor her wishes, the family will have a private committal service to lay her to rest with her husband. A celebration of life mass and reception will be held on April 20, 2024 at 11 am at St. Joseph’s in Clarksburg. To honor Mildred’s love of color, please feel free to come attired in your best color.
