Mildred Alice Lambert

Lambert, Mildred "Millie" Age 92. Born on September 10, 1922. Lifelong Sacramento resident. Passed away peacefully on July 7, 2015. Mildred graduated from McClatchy High School. She had a 41-year career at Pacific Bell before retiring. In her younger years she enjoyed being an Elks Lodge member and traveling with her husband Joseph Velardi who passed away in 1979. In 1984 Millie acquired an additional family when she married Joseph Lambert. Together Millie and Joe enjoyed traveling and spending time with their families for the next 25 years. Millie was preceded in death by loving husband Joseph Lambert, sisters Marie Silva (Norman) and Deolinda Dutra (Ed). She is survived by sister Dorothy Rincon (Fred), three step-sons, Jim Lambert (Charlotte), William Lambert (Maria) and Mark Lambert (Diane), grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her loving nieces and nephews. Special thanks to daughter-in-law Maria Lambert for being a wonderful and loving caregiver for many years to both Joseph and Mildred Lambert. The family is grateful to the staff of the Carlton Plaza (Our House Care Unit) for their love, care and support to Millie during these last years. Visitation July 13, 2015 at 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Harry A. Nauman & Son, 4041 Freeport Boulevard, Sacramento. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, 6700 21st Avenue, Sacramento, on July 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your local Alzheimer's Association.
