Nancy Diane Roos, 91, passed away peacefully at her Sacramento home on December 27, 2025. She is survived by her husband, Maurice Roos. She also leaves behind 5 children: Roy Roos of Irvington, NY, Mark Roos of Sacramento, CA, Ann Kania of Ione, CA, Paul Roos of Temecula, CA, and Phillip Roos of Plano, TX. In addition, 10 grandchildren remain, along with 2 nephews and 1 niece from her late brother, Garland Brandt of Minnesota.
A much-loved daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, Nancy was known for her humble, unassuming spirit and her fierce devotion to family. Always giving, never taking, she accepted everyone with care, respect, and quiet grace. Raised during the WWII years, Nancy wanted a big family, and she got one! She carried a lifelong compassion for children, especially babies and young families. A devoted educator, she served for many years at Gloria Dei School and in children’s ministries at Living Stones (Sacramento) Christian Reformed Church, helping nurture a thriving, diverse community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
