Peggy Jo Merwin

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on May 28, 2013, at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. She was born in Tracy, Calif., to Ann and Richard Johnson, Nov. 1, 1955. She leaves behind her sweetheart and caring husband of 32 years, Gary Merwin, son, Tom Merwin (29), and daughter, Lindsay Merwin (26). She was a caring, loving mother. Peggy loved living in Clarksburg. She was an active farming wife and served as the farm's bookkeeper for many years. Her fun job was working at Arco Arena taking drink orders during Kings and Monarchs games for several years. Peggy's passion in life was being involved with the Rotary Youth Exchange Program as a committee member for District 5180. Both of her children were exchange students, and she hosted 8 foreign exchange students over the years. Peggy loved to travel and took many vacations throughout the world. Peggy is survived by her brothers Jim (Paula) Johnson, Tom (Lynn) Johnson, sister Judy (Jim) Cotsakos and many beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 21 at 10 a.m. at Wilson Vineyards in Clarksburg.
