Raymond Robert DeHerrera

It is with deep sorrow we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved husband, father, Papa, brother and friend on August 15, 2010. Born on August 3, 1951 to Andres and Esther DeHerrera, he leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Gina, son, Lucas, daughters, Char & Annaliese, grandchildren, Aleena, J.C. and Angelo as well as brothers Andres Jr., Jeremiah, Eugene, William, Edward, Fredrick, Michael, and Timothy. He spent 40 years of his life working in commercial construction for the union, while simultaneously lending his talents to friends and family who needed help with their own ventures. Our husband and father took the simple house we bought 25 years ago, and by his own hands developed it into the beautiful home we share today. He was a man who worked endlessly to support his family, and up until the day of his passing never wasted a moment because there was always something to be done. He found joy in the outdoors, because he felt this world was simply too beautiful to be spent inside. He will be missed tremendously. Words cannot describe the deep respect and love we feel for this amazing man. Family and friends are invited for a visitation on Tuesday August 24, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and to attend the funeral service on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at NICOLETTI, CULJIS & HERBERGER Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd. Interment St. Marys Cemetery.
