

ROSE DORTHY CHRISTENSEN
Mrs. Rose Dorthy Christensen, age 94, passed away peacefully at our home on January 26th 2017. Born on August 13th, 1922 in Bienfate, Saskatchewan, Canada to John and Agnes Rozdeba. Her Brother Major Edward Rozdeba of the Royal Canadian Air Force who proceeded her in 1992, his Wife Doris, their Son David Rozdeba and wife Tammy, children; Courtney, Keanna, and Katelyn. Daughter Jessica McNaughton and Husband Kevin, children; Brock, Brynn, Brooklyn all living in Canada. She immigrated to Sacramento with her husband in 1951. She was a wonderful wife to Kenny Christensen who proceeded her in 1995. Mother to her daughter Carol Stewart, who passed away just two weeks before her on January 11, 2017 in Oregon City OR. Son Ken, and Son Dennis of Sacramento, CA, God-Daughter Kristen Carpio and husband Fransisco of Sacramento. Mother in Law to Don Stewart and Norma Christensen. Grandmother to Mike Stewart and his wife Ahna Stewart of Oregon, Brian Stewart who proceeded her in 1987, Kevin Christensen and his wife Carly Christensen, Tianna Hazard and her husband Adam Hazard, Kaela Baylis and her husband Cory Baylis. Great Grandmother to Julian Hazard, Leo Hazard, Livi Antonia Hazard, Josie Stewart, Trent Stewart, Cecilia Rose Christensen, and River Baylis and her loving German Shepherd Heidi who was always by her side
Rose attended Business Collage in Canada. She worked for Weinstock's Department Store part time and later work full time for Franchise Tax Board as a Tax Clerk till her Retirement. Resident of Elmhurst for over 60 Years. She had a deep Faith in God and was always so thankful every day. Rose attended St. Mary's Church and severed on the ICF back in the 60's. Loyal customer to all the Local Stores, Restaurant and Shops. She never drove a Car, always walked. She lived with her Son Dennis and Wife Norma for 31/2 years. Also Cared for by her Granddaughters, Loving Friends and Neighbors. She is remembered as a Beautiful and Wonderful lady. Always putting everyone first, kind, caring, and loving, to everyone she met. She will be dearly missed and was loved by all who knew her.
In Lieu of Flowers, those that wish can Donate to their favorite Charity. Donations can be made in Rose's name if desired.
A Celebration of Life will be planned in April at the VFW Post 67 located on Stockton Blvd Sacramento.
Memorial and Reception will be at Nicoletti's Funeral Home on Folsom Blvd, on Friday, February 10th
