Rose married and came to Sacramento. In the Public Market on 13th & J Streets, they were the first to sell fresh produce. Shortly afterward they opened Pennisi's Delicatessen in 1952 at 1216
J Street. Sadie was a delightful and cheerful member of the Ladies Club since 2002, severing as Corresponding Secretary and as part of the Sunshine Committee. Rose is survived by her loving
daughter, Mary June and her many nieces and nephews. A visitation and catered reception will be held at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home 4501 Folsom Blvd on May 6, 2022 between 10-11:30AM with a funeral service to follow at 11:30am.
