WARNER, Ruth Pauline Ruth Pauline Warner died on December 27, 2014 in her Sacramento home, surrounded and comforted by family. Ruth was born on March 15, 1926 in Apache, Oklahoma, to Eula and Lonnie Archer, who preceded her in death. She was married to George Warner for almost 65 years before George's death in 2009. Ruth is survived by her sister, Mildred Charles (John), her daughters Linda Lee Weesner and Susan Kathleen Jones (Terry), her grandchildren Elizabeth Kathleen Weesner and William Michael Weesner (Sharyn), and her great-grandson, Liam Warner Weesner, as well as extended family and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Lee Archer and her sister Delora Basham. Ruth married George when he returned to California after serving in WWII, and devoted herself to her family and her faith. She loved God and her church, and was a beloved member of Faith Presbyterian Church. She took joy in giving to others and often made baby quilts for the new arrivals. She loved reading and discussing books, working in her yard, and sharing the bounty of her gardens. Ruth worked and volunteered in every community in which she and George lived. They built their cabin at Lake Tahoe, and enjoyed it for many years. Ruth welcomed every task, from reroofing their home to serving in their churches and making their daughters' wedding dresses. Ruth was a strong, gentle and giving woman who was greatly loved and respected. She will be missed and always remembered. A celebration of Ruth's life will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church, 625 Florin Road, Sacramento, on January 3rd at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to Faith Presbyterian Church.
