Honey Bunny, it was ten years in January since I lost you. My life has been changed ever since the day you took your last breath. How much I long for you. You were my everything, my rock, I am so lost without you.

I met Shirley five years ago.  She had this great soul and a huge heart.  She will be dearly missed and never be forgotten.  Her light shines on.

I'm so sorry to her about Shirley's passing my heart hurts that she gone.  I have been friends with her for over 25 years and she was a beautiful lady with a BIG HEART and a great sense humor we had many laughs together and she told it like it was and that's why I loved being her friend.

My deepest sympathies to Richard and Shirley's family.  I worked with Shirely at EFU 23 years ago, I will always remember her laugh and her silly jokes.  She was such a kind person and a hard worker. I remember when she met Richard and all the cute stories she'd share with her co-workers.  Was so very sad to her of her passing.  Keeping all of you in my prayers during this difficult time.

What a lovely sentiment expressed in Shirley's obituary! She was never one to complain, so many of her friends at work didn't realize she was ill. Shirley was everything that others have stated and more - helpful, sweet, motherly, friendly, smiling whenever she saw one of us who didn't work in the same unit. She treated everyone equally and fairly. Words do not express just how dear she was to so many people. Perhaps that's the best legacy to leave. In sorrow and joy -

Rich, Julie & Family,

I'm so sorry for your loss.  Shirley was such a riot.  Rich and Shirley would hold Halloween parties and they did them up!!  Shirley would always make sure everyone was ok and had what they needed.  She was always so helpful.  She would come to Richards work and help with holiday functions and she made some good food!  Rich and Shirley were definitley two peas in a pod.  

May God bring you all the support you need to help you through this difficult time.

I worked with Shirley from 2001 until she left the Call Center, she inspired everyone with her smile.  She gave freely of her time and love; I miss you Shirley, rest in peace.

So very sorry to hear of this sad news. We are Jerry's (her son) Godparents and so go back many years with fond memories of Shirley.  What matters is the panorama of memories playing through each persons head. Our condolences to the family, God Bless you all.

I had the pleasure of working with Shirley at EDD's Research Unit at the Document & Information Management Center as her Supervisor for just a little over two years. Through that short time, not only was she my trainer in the workload, but acted as my lead and letting me know the concerns of the rest of the team. She was caring, thoughtful and trustworthy and an hard worker. After leaving the unit to work at the 1st floor, whenever she would be downstairs she would give me this big hug like a mother would. Then tells me how much she and team misses me.

Thank you Shirley for being such a pleasure to work with and that caring nature you have for everyone around you. We will all miss you.

I am very sorry for the loss of your loved one. I worked with Shirley at EDD, many many years ago. however, what i remember about her was her smile, and always, always full of joy. Shirely was always so happy, and just running around at work doing what she needed to do. She was a very nice person. So helpful. The good lord will get you thru this hard time. This shall pass. Shirley and I worked at FACD in Rancho for several years, she was always the first one to offer help, or jump in to assist with whatever needed doing....she always had a great sense of humor, especially when she just went ahead and said what everyone was thinking!! She was such a devoted Elvis fan!  Sure hope he's one of the first people she meets in heaven. She was a pleasure to know and will be missed! I have known Shirley since the start of my EDD career.  She was my trainer and whenever I needed help I knew to go to her because she always knew the answer or if she didn't she would find out.
Over the years our relationship grew more than just co-workers we became friends.  I enjoyed going to work knowing she was going to be there because just her presence made me smile.  She always made me laugh.  We would always talk throughout the day about our family and what events we had planned.  I felt that I knew her whole family and she knew mine.  She was like a second mother to all of us.  She always worried about us and she never wanted anyone to worry about her.  She will be sorely missed, but I know she is at peace and no longer in pain.

My condolences to her family, especially her husband Richard, who was her other half and her pups, Lucy & Aimee.
