

Steve grew up and enjoyed, and played all manner of sports, but his favorite by far was basketball. Steve loved basketball and would often reminisce about his playing days, while bragging about his basketball skills to the chagrin of his son Daniel and son-in-law Bryant. In Steve’s his eyes he was the next best next thing to Michael Jordan.
Steve worked for the Federal Government for thirty-six years as a civilian aircraft painter. He worked the majority of his working years at McClellan Air Force base, in North Highlands, CA, until the base closure in 2001. Steve would then relocate with his position to Texas until the time of his retirement. Upon retirement, Steve would return to his home city of Sacramento to be close to family and friends.
Steve leaves behind many memories and many family members to cherish those memories. Steve leaves behind his wife of many years, Michelle Santos. His son Daniel Santos (Daughter-in-law; Johnnie Santos ) His daughter Elizabeth Santos Echols (Son-in-law; Bryant Echols). His two stepchildren, Sara Owens (Son-in-law; James Owens) and John White. Steve leaves behind four siblings; sisters, Vicki Giles and Stacey Fleming (Brother-in-law; Jim Fleming) and his two brothers Tony and Tim Santos. Steve has many grandchildren to cherish his memory; seven grandchildren Jasmine and Nathan Santos, Bryant Jr. and Amya Echols, Shelbi and Nicholas Seher, and Zoey Owens. Steve also has 3 great-grandson’s Brice Santos and Jaxson Santos, and Wyatt Dreith. Steve leaves behind a legacy of a host of other family members and friends.
Steve is proceeded in death by his father Edmond and his mother Christine.
