Theresa Philomena Plesha

Born January 26, 1923, and passed away peacefully, January 18, 2011. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 64 years Paul, daughter Paula, and her partner Laura Spengeman. Preceded in death by her sons, Tom and George, her father and mother, George and Vera Guidera, sisters Mary Paladino and Celia Borges, and brothers Vic and Joe Guidera. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Theresa was born and raised in Sacramento. She was a past President and member of the Dante Club Women's Auxiliary, the Romulus Women's Club, and the P.E.R.L.S., as well as a member of the Zete Merte Club and the Arberesh of Sacramento. Theresa, with her husband Paul, enjoyed many trips to Europe and Hawaii with family and friends. She lived a life of quiet strength. Theresa will always be remembered for her loving kindness, caring, and devotion to family and friends. We will miss her Italian cooking. She will live in our hearts forever. Visitation from 4-7 PM Monday, January 24th, followed by a Recitation of the Rosary at 7 PM at Nicoletti Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on January 25th, at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 39th and J Street, Sacramento CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Susan G. Komen Foundation .
