July 1, 1954 - January 1, 2022
Tom Neath passed away peacefully at his home shortly after midnight on New Years after a 9 year battle with Parkinsonian Disease. He will be greatly missed by his wife D. (Darling) Neath, his son Kyle (Neath) Aster, and his beloved niece Nicole Oldham, as well as his extended family.
Tom was a graduate of Humboldt State and worked as a Forester in the Peace Corp in the 80's, before moving to Sacramento. He was a Licensed Contractor doing both commercial and residential work until his condition forced his retirement in 2013. Tom was also co-owner of the Archival Gallery and will be greatly missed by the staff.
After Tom's diagnosis, he became an avid knitter and produced over 200 beanies which generated many donations for the Parkinson Association of Northern California.
We would like to thank his dedicated caregivers particularly Ray and Patricia and his boxing coach Fernando for their enthusiasm in keeping him active and engaged. Also a special Thank You to the friends in "Tom's Breakfast Club" for keeping his social calendar booked.
