William Perry Wilson Jr.

April 21, 1924 - December 26, 2015

Born in Astoria, Oregon April 21, 1924, Bill Wilson, 91, passed away in Sacramento, December 26, 2015. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Norma, his daughter Laurel Ann Wilson, and his grand daughter Erika Payne.

He is survived by his children, Rev. Dr. Daniel Ross Wilson (Lois), Janet Marie Wilson, William P. Wilson III, Barbara Kay Wilson, and Norma Elizabeth Humphrey (Robert), 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Bill was a loving and devoted father, caring for his special needs daughter Barbara until his final days.

Bill grew up in Toppenish, WA where he met and married Norma. He proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He enjoyed a successful 40-year career with Del Monte Corporation in Toppenish, Salem, OR, and retired as Plant Superintendent of Del Monte’s Sacramento Can Manufacturing Plant.

The Wilson family thanks the doctors and nurses at Mercy General Hospital who took such wonderful care of him, and the family, as he passed.

Friends are invited to attend services Monday, January 4 at 9:00 AM at Nicoletti, Cujis, and Heberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd. Interment service will follow at 11:00 AM at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway, Rd., Dixon, CA 95620.
