Archie Arnold Julius

Archie was born in Puxico, Missouri on December 9, 1936, to the late Roy "Sam" and Iva F. Julius (nee Baker). Archie served in both the Air Force and Army before he married the love of his life, Velma C. Riley on May 11, 1973. They were married for 45 years before she preceded him in death.

Archie was a devoted father to Loretta Bolin and her husband Patrick, and the late Richard Shelby and his daughter-in-law Sherry. He was the cherished grandfather of Renee Ellis, Melissa Scott, her husband Don; James Bolin, his wife MarySue; Robert Bolin; Stephen Bolin, his wife Debra; Samuel Shelby; and Katrina King and her husband Andrew. He was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Thomas Ellis and Anthony Ellis. Archie was the treasured great grandfather of 16 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. Archie is survived by his sister Doris Caldwell, sisters-in-law Emily Hayes, Tommye Julius, Merlanne Julius, and his brother-in-law Norman Kindrick, siblings preceding him in death are brother Audie Hays (surviving sister-in-law, Emily), David and his wife Marge Julius, Marie and her husband John Ragsdale, R.L. and his wife Juanita Julius, Marvin (surviving wife Tommye) Julius, Judy and (surviving husband Norman) Kindrick, Bud and (surviving wife Merlanne) Julius, and Arvil and Lois Julius. He is also survived by three sister-in-laws Betty Smith (her late husband Robert), Thelma Christian (her late husband Allen), and Norma Compton (and her late husband David). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation for Archie will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021, from 4-7 pm at the Alexander White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, Missouri. Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 12:00 pm, burial will immediately follow at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. Donations in Archie's name may be made in lieu of flowers to Loretta Bolin.
