Larry C. Hada, 64, of St. Louis, MO passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his father, Wallace Hada and stepson, Garry Hunott. He is survived by his mother, Frances (Arthur) VanLeer; his spouse of 30 years, Beverly “Jeannie” (nee Copeland) Hada; daughter, Kelly Marie (Jeff) Vahlkamp; daughter-in-law, Susan Hunott; grandchildren, Meggan and Ellen Hunott and Grace and AJ Vahlkamp; sisters, Diana (Rick) Forrest, Sandra (Mike) Mayernik; brother-in-law, John Copeland; best friend, Bill Martin; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Larry was an incredibly kind-hearted person who never met a stranger. He loved to tell stories and had a great sense of humor. He had tremendous faith in his Lord and Savior and would often close communications with people by saying, “See you here, there, or in the air!” He was a former usher for Grace Church St. Louis and a well-respected business owner who made sure he took the finest care of his customers. In his down time, he liked to relax by going fishing. He will surely be missed.
The family wishes to thank the Siteman Cancer Center for the tender, loving care given to Larry and his family during this trying time. Larry fought the fight until the very end. Memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society and the Peregrine Society.
Friends may visit on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 4-6 p.m. at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann. Service time is at 6 p.m. Expressions of condolence may be offered at www.alexanderstlouis.com.
