Moore, T. Pearl (nee Blount), fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, born August 17, 1923 to Opal and Stephen L. Blount (who was a descendent of Lt. Stephen Blount, a signer of The Texas Declaration of Independence and of General William Blount, a signer of the United States Declaration of Independence) passed away Friday, August 25, 2017.
Beloved wife of the late Alan W. Moore Sr. for 67 years; dearest mother of Alan W. Moore Jr. (Karen), Richard T. Moore (Angela), James S. Moore (Susan) and Pamela A. Coldren (Randy); dear grandma of Leianna Moore, Dan Price, David Price, Shawn Moore, Wendy Moore-MacDonough, Jennie Moore, Allison Bruns, Lisa Alway, James Moore, Thomas Moore, Ellen Moore, Stephen Moore, Zachery Pugh, April Loy, and dear great grandma of eight children.
Pearl met Alan Moore on a blind date in St. Louis while he was stationed at Scott Air Force Base. Realizing she was destined to be with Al, they went on to be married in Sioux Falls South Dakota on 8/9/1942. Hobbies included sewing, knitting, crocheting and researching her Blount family history. Pearl and Alan also enjoyed wintering in their RV for many years in Texas and Florida, vacationing in Europe, Egypt, Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, Yellowstone National Park, and Las Vegas.
Traveling again, Pearl recently moved to Florida to be near her daughter, Pamela and her two children. Services: Visitation Friday September 8, 10 am until service at 11 am at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church 315 Graham Road Florissant, MO 63031. Entombment: Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
