

Robert "Bobby" James Lyons Jr. passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 61. He was born on May 16, 1964, in Long Island, New York, and was a resident of Jacksonville, Florida. Adventurous, honest, hard-working, wise, and cherished, Bobby will be remembered for the steady presence he brought to the lives of those who knew him best.
In 1972, Bobby's family moved to Florida, where he grew up and lived the majority of his life, with a few years spent living in Nashua, New Hampshire, where his mother and brother reside. He began his career in automotive parts sales and later worked as the merchandising coordinator for Home Depot in Jacksonville.
Bobby was an avid fisherman and kayaker who loved being at the beach or on the water. He spent many years enjoying his hobby of Civil War reenacting, along with countless hands-on projects ranging from woodworking to sewing. Family and close friends will always remember him with a cigarette in one hand and a coke in the other.
Bobby is survived by Dorothy Peabody mother; Bernie Peabody stepfather, Catherine L Sandoval, sister; James; Harry Lyons, brother; Anne-Marie Domanski, sister; Ian Sandoval, nephew; Jessica Sandoval, niece; Ronnie Vahjen Aunt; Susan Vahjen and Harry J Vahjen, cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J Lyons, Sr, and his uncle, Harry Vahjen.
Bobby requested no formal services, but he did suggest taking time to go fishing.
