She grew up in Levittown, Pennsylvania and attended Pennsbury High School. After graduation she chose to serve her country and joined the Air Force (stationed in Victorville, California). She became one of the early female air traffic controllers and was selected to represent the Women of the Air Force in the Air Force recruitment brochure. She later attended University of North Florida where she earned a degree in accounting and served as the first president of the accounting club.
She loved photography, tennis, and being a grandmother. Sharon tried to be the best that she could be at everything she did. She was constantly learning and growing. She loved music, played a couple of instruments, and enjoyed sharing that love with her granddaughter Jordan.
